I was totally elated when Jillian asked me to be her wedding photographer. We’ve known each other for about a dozen years and from the earliest days she’s always impressed me with her grit and grace. Jillian is hands down one of the most caring people I’ve ever met. From community service to a career in nursing and the military, she is aways giving back. She’s a badass too! Jillian is a 2Lt. Lieutenant Flight Nurse in the United States Air Force Reserve and was a Technical Sergeant Aeromedical Evacuation Technician for 8 years.
Additionally, Jillian and Matt are just so delightful in every way. I don’t think anything can fluster them. On their wedding day they just seemed to enjoy every single moment, even when things didn’t go exactly as planned. For example, fire alarms started going off the moment they were announced into their reception. No worries! They calmly ushered every guest out into the fall night until the fire department arrived and pronounced everything A-OK.
Before the wedding, i do i do, gifted Jillian her gown, something they occasionally do for women in the military. After the wedding, Jill paid the generosity forward by donating the dress to Brides across America, an organization that sells inexpensively or gives wedding and formal dresses to military members and their spouses.
Congratulations Jillian & Matt, and thank you for inviting me to your fantastic wedding. Much love to you!
