I was totally elated when Jillian asked me to be her wedding photographer. You see, we’ve known each other for, I don’t know, maybe a dozen years? From the earliest days she’s always impressed me with her grit and grace. She’s hands down one of the most caring people I’ve ever met. From community service to a career in nursing and the military, she is aways giving back. And I want you to know she’s a badass too! She is a 2Lt. Lieutenant Flight Nurse in the United States Air Force Reserve and was a Technical Sergeant Aeromedical Evacuation Technician for 8 years!
Away from the exciting career path, Jillian and Matt are just so delightful in every way. I don’t think anything can fluster them. On their wedding day they just seemed to enjoy every single moment, even when things didn’t go exactly as planned. I’m talking fire alarms going off the moment they were announced into their reception. No worries! They gracefully ushered every guest out into the autumn night until the fire department arrived and pronounced everything A-OK.
Jillian’s dress was gifted to her by i do i do, something they occasionally do for women in the military. Jill has already donated it to Brides across America, an organization that sells inexpensively or gifts wedding and formal dresses to military members and their spouses. See what I mean about giving?
Congratulations Jillian & Matt, and thank you for inviting me to your fantastic wedding. Much love to you!
